Hardcoat Anodizing

Hardcoat is anodic coating for aluminum where a coating of aluminum oxide is formed on the surface of an aluminum roll.  This coating becomes part of the base metal and will not flake off.  Hardcoat anodizing is commonly used to increase the hardness and abrasion resistance of aluminum shells.
